Creation of the professional certification "Driving Construction Machinery" 30 years ago to respond to a local need of revenue-generating activities. It has been rewritten in 2018 to match companies’ needs, with more flexibility and for it to match the different categories of CACES (Safe Driving Aptitude Certificates), depending on the construction machines concerned.
Promoter: Regional VTCs´ management associations of Centre-Val de Loire
Ensure that local workers have the skills needed by local companies and that these skills are recognised and valued by the job market.
25 to 30 drivers certified each year in each VTC.
Social and professional integration to the territory of job-seekers and people with disabilities.
The certification was rewritten in accordance with companies´ skills needs and expectations to fulfill skills shortages concerning construction machines driving.
The certification is conceived by skills blocks, which means that learners (young apprentices or experienced construction workers) can validate it wholly or partly depending on their needs.
The certification allows construction workers with disabilities due to their activities to continue to work in the construction sector at a more adapted position.
The certification eases the socio-professional integration of apprentices, job seekers, people with disabilities and experienced construction workers.
