France: FFB launches a programme to identify 15,000 young building talents

The Ministry of Work, Employment and Insertion, the Ministry in charge of Cities and the French Building Federation (Fédération Française du Bâtiment) have signed, in April 2021, a national convention (2021-2022), which aims to help young people, job seekers and trainees from priority neighbourhood of the city and regular refugees joining building companies.

The employment public services, associations, regional and local (Département level) councils are mobilized to identify 15,000 young people and job seekers wishing to join the Building sector. Besides, the FFB member’ companies and craftsmen, currently subject to a strong workforce demand, commit to offer them a contract in the form of traineeship, apprenticeship, professionalisation, short-term or open-ended.
