For the past 11 years, PEDMEDE has been collaborating with the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), hosting students from all engineering departments, who carry out their internship at the offices of PEDMEDE in the center of Athens.
The cooperation of the two bodies is focused on young people, who are given the opportunity to get to know PEDMEDE and consequently the Public Works sector. In addition, students are given the opportunity to be informed about the activities of PEDMEDE as representative of the Construction Sector in Greece and abroad and assist in its works for the European Organizations that the organization is a member.
A tangible example is the active involvement of students in the European programs implemented by PEDMEDE and which concern the Construction Sector, conducting qualitative and quantitative research and participating in the design of educational programs regarding key issues of the Sector.
The culmination of the activities is the Construction Blueprint project which, among other, aims to reach and attract young people in the construction industry as a career choice and professional development.
In this way, students get the opportunity to get acquainted and get in touch with all current developments taking place both in our country and abroad and to participate actively in issues that will shape the state and future of the Construction ecosystem.
