Italy: ANCE uses the latest technology in training to attract young people to the construction industry

The Udine Construction Centre for Training and Safety, a bilateral organisation in the sector, has a construction site machinery simulator which is used both to train young workers and to assess the skills of those already employed.

Through innovative methodologies, the simulator is able to realistically reproduce risk situations, providing valuable experience to learners without endangering them or other people/workers on the site.

In the last contract renewal, the social partners entrusted Formedil (the national training and safety body) with the purchase of an advanced simulator of construction machinery for each region of the country, with the aim of increasing training and safety on the construction site.
