I-TOWN - “Italian Training qualificatiOn Workforce in buildiNg “aims to create and update training programs for skilled workers and artisans in the field of efficiency and renewable energy in the building sector.
The project carried out in the framework of the European programme BUILD UP SKILL has involved Formedil en. 36 local authorities belonging to the bilateral system supported by 7 partners including Ance, Politecnico di Torino and University of Naples.

The aim of the project is to qualify workers in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy in the building sector.

Mis-Matching of Skills:
The project had the task of bridging a skills mismatch in relation to the labour market's demand for skills, training and references that are not perfectly in line with those required by the work carried out or intended to be carried out and it is precisely the market that requires workers who know how to apply elements for energy efficiency or who know how to deal with issues related to Green construction..
Skills Shortages:
Lack of green skills and lack of specialized personnel able to deal with issues related to the installation of green elements
