The project aims to modernize master craftsman training in the construction industry in order to improve employer attractiveness, the quality of construction and promote an employee-oriented corporate culture. In previous project periods teaching and learning modules were developed which are now converted into online training. Online training and webinars for lecturers in the master school are already offered via a teaching and learning platform. Furthermore, the project aims to support employers by developing modules based on checks to provide workshops about current topics. The objective of the project is to integrate the digital transformation into continuous education and training and increase the competiveness of the construction sector for the best skilled workers.
The checks that were produced for construction companies were evaluated in this project in order to develop a model construction company. This model demonstrates how an ideal company should be structured and perform. Additionally, the project is working on applying action-oriented learning instead of a rigid curriculum. Action-oriented learning encourages flexible thinking and creativity by analysing the different steps of a task and find the best solution to perform, rather than following a strict instruction.
