Associazione Nazionale Costruttori Edili (Ance)

Ance is active in public works, residential and industrial building, represents 20 Regional Organisations, 102 Provincial Associations and 20,000 Construction companies.

ANCE safeguard the construction industry vis a vis the Government and Parliament, through its lobbying activity, besides, dialogue with political, social and cultural Institutions and ensures relationships with Administrative Authorities in governing the territory, planning investments and designing interventions, together with its local Associations offers assistance and consultancy services in the field of legislative, economic and industrial relations. Is engaged in:

  • Tendering for public procurement and relationships with the employers.
  • Public and private Financing.
  • Technical innovation and quality certification.
  • Fiscal regulations’ implementation.
  • Company qualification for Public works.

Is member of several European wide networks: FIEC (European Construction Industry Federation), EIC (European International Contractors), UNICE (Union of Industrial and Employers’ Confederations of Europe through Confindustria) and UEPC (Union Europeenne des Promoteurs-Constructeurs).

Embuild

Embuild is the main business organisation, recognised employers’ organisation and representative body of the construction industry in Belgium. It represents some 15000 member companies of all sizes, from small enterprises to international contractors, carrying out all forms of building and civil engineering activities. Its statutory missions are:

  • Defend the interests of the Belgian construction industry in accordance with the general interest.
  • Represent the construction industry in all legal, economic, administrative and social matters, with respect to political, socio-economic and other bodies, at regional, national, European and international level.
  • Promote the business development of the construction industry in Belgium and abroad.
  • Promote harmony and coordination among the various trades of the construction industry.
  • Propose all measures designed to ensure, in the general interest, the rational development of the economic activity of contractors.
  • Inform its members with regard to general legal, economic, administrative and social issues.
  • Promote and sponsor actions likely to help improve the functioning of the profession and the well-being of its workforce.
Confederación Nacional de la Construcción (CNC)

CNC is the employers’ organisation representing construction industry in Spain. Currently has 72 member: eight organisations with national scope and 64 organisations at provincial/regional scope. Its aim is to represent and defend the interest of the sector towards public bodies or other national and international entities in both public and private sectors.

Within the CNC, through its member organisations, companies with activity in the different areas of the construction industry and of all sizes are represented: civil engineering works, residential and non-residential building, developers-house builders, rehabilitation of dwellings and buildings, as well as providers of means and services for construction.

In its condition of social partner, CNC negotiates with the most important trade unions and signs with them the General Collective Agreement for the Construction Sector. CNC has, together with these trade unions, constituted a Construction Sector Bipartite Foundation (Fundación Laboral de la Construcción) aimed, among other targets, at fostering professional training.

The CNC’s activities are also addressed to improve the competitiveness of our industry and in this framework training is a key element, as appropriate quality and levels of skills are essential to support growth and competitiveness.

Fédération Française du Bâtiment (FFB)

FFB represents all professions and trades in the building industry and defends the interests of 50,000 member companies, 35,000 of them microenterprises. By ministerial order of July 2017 and December 2017, the FFB is officially recognized by the French government as the first organisation representing Building employers of all sizes. And is a member of the European Construction Industry Federation. The FFB’s activities have three main aims:

  • Interacting with public authorities in the decision-making processes which have an impact on the business market and the conditions under which the industry works;
  • Using its expertise to represent its departmental and regional federations as well as trade and craft unions, in their own activities aimed at representing and assisting member companies;
  • Promoting the image of the industry, its professionals and its companies.

The FFB expertise is multiple and covers legal, tax, technical, economic, social, training, environmental issues.

Gospodarska Zbornica Slovenije (CCIS)

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) provides essential services for enterprises operating in Slovenia, and it is the ideal local partner for foreign investors. Founded more than 160 years ago CCIS now has 7,000 member companies of all sizes and from all regions. It is a non-profit, non-governmental, independent business organization representing the interest of its members and is Slovenia’s most influential business association.

Chamber of Construction and Building Materials Industry of Slovenia (CCBMIS) is a professional industry branch association (private non-profit organization employers’ organization) organized within the framework of CCIS. Its main mission, in the best interest of its members, is to take positions and propose policies relating to the social partners, legislative and government institutions as well as towards their domestic and international associations. CCBMIS assists its members by disseminating different sectoral information and data, providing various consultations, legislation questions, developing sectoral VET, enabling and fostering business opportunities, organizing sectoral trainings and events, as well as by representing and communicating members’ proposals.

CCBMIS offers constant expert company support for different national and foreign issues. CCBMIS is actively involved in many projects of EU programmes, addressing sectoral innovations, single market policy (posting workers), developing sectoral paritarian social funds, European social dialogue activities, VET system (policy) and adult training, with focus on IT and digitalization, green skills in relation to the circular economy implementation, OSH and other topics. CCBMIS is an active member of the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC).

Lithuanian Builders Association (LSA)

LSA brings together more than 150 members, including construction and industrial companies, design organisations, scientific and educational institutions. Along with them, it also brings together the National Association of Window and Door Manufacturers, the Lithuanian Association of Plumbers and the Lithuanian Association of EPS. The key activities are:

  • Defends Association members‘ rights against unlawful acts of officials and government institutions, besides, against the unfair practices of other participants of construction industry
  • Identifies problems and needs and represents the members when offering solutions in the government institutions;
  • Provides value-added information expeditiously, consults, and promotes cooperation;
  • Provides economic benefits to the members by developing the discount program for purchasing products and services;
  • Develops a website of electronic construction rules STATAI (www.statybostaisykles.lt).
  • Participates in training and innovation projects and safe work initiatives;
  • Performs the publicity work and Lithuanian construction workers’ image formation in Lithuania and abroad.
Panhellenic Association of Engineers Contractor of Public Works (PEDMEDE)

Established in 1935, covers all the range of companies dealing with the construction of public and private works. Their scope is to secure and promote its members’ interest and welfare and to defend their rights regarding the Authorities. Among its services is law and tax consultancy, assisting their members with the proceedings relevant to public works tendering, resolves disputes between them and the Authorities.

PEDMEDE comprises of 15 regional sections and a separate section of Construction Companies, is the only Greek Association representing the country abroad, by being a member of FIEC (European Construction Industry Federation) since 1970 and EIC (European International Contractors).

Its long lasting presence in the field of Public Works, makes PEDMEDE an Association with great experience in this field. Among its services to its members are Law consultancy. Additional PEDMEDE provides training through special seminars in its own training center in collaboration with Public and Private Organisations.

Zentralverband des Deutschen Baugewerbes (ZDB)

The German Construction Confederation represents employers in the construction sector, a totally of 35.000 companies in various construction trades. It has the unique potential to combine the know-how and needs of German construction companies and spread the project results among them.

The ZDB represents its members and its sector at the national and European policy levels and is a social partner and negotiates sectoral wage agreements, including universally applicable ones. Also, the confederation is involved in the definition and execution of basic and further education measures.

Budowlani

Budowlani Trade Union is the largest organisation representing the interests of construction workers, the building materials industry, the wood industry and forestry in Poland. It brings together over 10,000 members in 266 local organisations. It has a central structure and 14 regional offices in Poland. He is a member of the confederation of the OPZZ and international organisations EFBWW and BWI.

For years, Budowlani has been involved in education and vocational training for construction workers. It is a partner of all major public projects oriented at the development of vocational education since 1996. The experts of the union are the authors of professional qualifications standards in construction, the core curriculum of teaching in construction professions. Since 1999, this trade union has been continuously implementing Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus+ projects (at least two at the same time).

The Budowlani representative is a member of the Stakeholders’ Council of the Integrated Qualifications System in Poland, the advisory body of the Minister of Education, and is the leader organisation of the project partnership of the Sector Council for Competence in Construction implemented from 2017 to 2022.
